Where to Find the Best Coffee on Hilton Head Island

If you’re visiting Hilton Head Island, chances are, you’ll want to make the most of the time you have on your trip. From waking up early to catch the sunrise on the beach or to make it in time for your dolphin cruise, to staying up late for a movie under the stars or a firework show, there’s no getting around it—you’re in for some long days. Coffee connoisseurs have the right idea, and to celebrate all of us that need our morning cup(s) or an afternoon pick-me-up, here is a list of the best places to grab coffee to-go or otherwise!

Carolina Coffee & Crumbs

  • Convenient Location Near Coligny Beach
  • Specialty Lattes, Coffee Cocktails, and Wine List
  • Breakfast and Lunch Options

Located on the South End of Hilton Head, Carolina Coffee & Crumbs is the perfect place for those looking to enjoy a peaceful morning with a coffee in hand outside on the patio, or take a cup or cup of joe to go! Across the street from Coligny Beach Park and Lowcountry Celebration Park, and surrounded by the shops at Coligny Plaza, this spot is probably the most conveniently located coffee shop on our list.

Not only is there indoor seating offered but there is a small section that will keep the kiddos busy while you recharge with your coffee. The outdoor seating does feature umbrellas to help with keeping you and your iced coffee out of the hot sun.

Try the house blend, stick to an espresso, or choose from an extensive list of specialty drinks and lattes such as the Berry Crumble Latte, Almond Joy Latte, or Milky Way. Don’t worry, there are more delicious-sounding drinks where those come from. Kids have their own frappe selection to choose from, but you can’t go wrong with one of the refreshing smoothies. Closing time is at 3pm (hours of operation may be seasonal), it’s five o’clock somewhere, meaning coffee cocktails, mimosas, and a wine list can also be spotted on the menu.  In addition to beverages, delicious breakfast and lunch plates, and pastries are served here.

Paris Baguette

  • North End Location
  • Variety of Cakes and Pasty Items
  • Open All Day with Lunch and Dinner Options

You may have actually been to a Paris Baguette location before, as there are multiple storefronts within the United States and Canada. A relatively new addition to the island, this location is excellent for those finding themselves on the North End needing a coffee break regardless of the time of day. Caffeine might not be as appealing at night normally, but if you’re headed back home with a long drive ahead of you, this might be the spot to grab a latte or seasonal beverage. Plus, if you want to get a head start on the next morning’s breakfast, you can always grab some pastries as well.

Speaking of pastries—Paris Baguette is known to have some pretty great coffee, but what probably gets most people’s attention is the food. It doesn’t have ‘baguette’ in its name for nothing! Every cake, tarte, croissant, donut, and pastry is not only beautiful but delicious! Fair warning, you’ll be tempted by the mouthwatering selection on display. If you’re stopping for lunch or dinner, there are also gourmet sandwiches and salads to choose from.

The coffee menu is robust and includes many of the classic hot or cold creations that you know and love. Check out their seasonal menu items, like the Chocolate Cream Cold Brew or Pistachio White Chocolate Mocha.

Corner Perk

  • New Location on the North End
  • Known for Delicious Brunch and Unique Beverage Flavors
  • Variety of Coffee Beans for Purchase

A Lowcountry favorite, the Hilton Head location is the newest addition to the Corner Perk family. Long are the days that visitors of the island must cross over the bridge to visit the Bluffton coffee shop—but if you do have time, we recommend you still do so since Old Town Bluffton is quite cute. Expect that coastal small-town charm from this establishment, as well as creatively and expertly made drinks to boot.

With plenty of indoor seating, the Corner Perk is a great place to gather with friends and family over a delicious latte or brunch. This pick has the most impressive breakfast and lunch menu options, all of them being very hearty and wonderfully local. We especially love the list of skillets offered! You will find various cakes and other sweet treats to choose from—go for the cookies, they’re amazing!

The Corner Perk offers different kinds of coffee beans for sale in their locations, so that means you can take a little bit of the Lowcountry home with you. As for coffee orders, what don’t they have? The locations will offer seasonal options, but their year-round latte list includes a staggering number of eleven flavors. We think Churro is the best, but classics like Vanilla and Salted Caramel, and other appealing flavors such as Honey Bee, Lavender & Honey, and Browned Sugar are in the lineup.
