For visitors 21 and older, there’s no better place to sip, sample, and savor than the Carolina Tasting Room.
Located in the Coligny Plaza Shopping Center, the Carolina Tasting Room welcomes visitors and locals alike to sip on or shop from a collection of local wines made locally either in the Lowcountry or neighboring regions. The selection is quite impressive, with a variety of whites, reds, fruit blends, and bottles made from local muscadine grapes. It’s the perfect spot to grab a taste of the region or find a unique gift for friends, family, or even your house sitter!
Wine Tastings
For just $3, visitors can sample six wines of their choice, carefully selected from a rotating list of local wines. Not sure what to try? With the guidance of the friendly, knowledgeable staff, finding your perfect pour is easy. Found a favorite? Enjoy a 7oz or 12oz glass for either $6 or $10 respectively. If you really love it, buy a bottle after your tasting, and your tasting becomes free! Just don’t wait, since the bottles can’t be shipped at the moment so make sure to grab your favorite bottle while you can!
Walk-ins are welcome, and while it can get busy, the team always does their best to accommodate. If you’re visiting with a group, let them know ahead of time by filling out a form on their website.
More Than Just Wine
While the Carolina Tasting Room is known for its wine tasting, visitors can also order either a domestic beer or local craft beer if wine just isn’t your thing. But the real crowd-pleasers are their famous Wine Smoothies. The perfect way to beat the heat on a hot Hilton Head day is to order one of these tasty frozen concoctions either inside or out front at the Carolina Tasting Room kiosk! The smoothie flavors are constantly rotating, but look out for fan favorites, Pina Colada, Orange Cream, Peach, and Margarita. Kids’ smoothies are also available.
