The street food trend has taken over, and Hilton Head Island was definitely not left behind! A delicious way to experience the iconic Lowcountry taste, or branch out and try cuisine from around the globe, stopping to eat in the refreshing ocean air is always a good idea.
The only problem? Well, being as food trucks are mobile, sometimes your favorite vendor has disappeared! We’ve created a list of all of the food trucks that frequent the island, but some are easier to track down than others. To start, we’ve included some popular spots that almost continually have food trucks and then followed that by the ever-growing collection of food vendors. Most food trucks operate from a social media account, but we made sure to include any contact information we could find.
Common Food Truck Gathering Spots on Hilton Head Island
On the North End of the island, you’ll find a charming gathering spot where you can shop, eat, drink, and listen to some great live music. Not only does the store offer locally made grocery items and goods but there’s also a patio and outdoor space for you to grab a seat and enjoy the refreshing coastal air.
Feeling hungry? Jarvis Creek General Store is known for having various food trucks weekly. Check online for their schedule that includes special events, live entertainment, and their food truck lineup.
Tucked away just a street over from popular tourist hotspots, Beautiful Island Square sits near the Mathews Drive traffic circle on Marshland Rd. With an open market feel meant for people to gather and enjoy delicious dishes from multiple food trucks, Beautiful Island Square offers covered seating and restrooms.

Don’t let the name fool you. By “locals,” they mean serving only South Carolina brews on draft, not monitoring the door for visitors to the island. So head their way to not only enjoy great beer surrounded by great company, you might also find a food truck parked out front!
Locals Only Taproom does a great job updating the community with what events, specials, and food trucks will be on property through their Facebook page.
Hilton Head Island’s only beer garden, The Bank is a relatively new addition to the South End of the island. The visionaries of the project drew inspiration from the original bank that they transformed into the ultimate indoor and outdoor gathering spot for locals and tourists alike.
