Palmera Vacation Club – A Few of Our Favorite Hilton Head Restaurants

The culinary scene on Hilton Head is ever-growing and expanding. Local seafood, globally known chefs and one of a kind dishes have been and are available on our 12-mile island. There are intimate settings for you and your significant other to enjoy a nice meal, and there are also larger restaurants with local entertainment and outside areas where everyone can enjoy a big, family meal! While we have a long list of favorites, we decided to narrow down some of our best picks for this time of year. The cooler weather, darker nights bring one thing to mind to our locals and that’s oyster roasts and yummy, warm seafood. Not everyone enjoys the taste of a steamed or raw oysters from the sea, but if you do, you have come to the right place! FISH Casual Coastal Seafood is a must-visit the next time you are here visiting. Perfect for a family outing any time of the day. Located in Coligny Plaza, on the south-end of Hilton Head, this indoor/outdoor restaurant is full of delicious meals and great, local entertainment. They are big music lovers and enjoy providing local entertainment on their outside patio for their guests. Make sure to check their website at gofishhhi.com to get all of the daily information. Their outside patio is called the “Lagoon Lounge” and is decked out with comfy couches to enjoy a beverage of choice and bite to eat. There is also a kid’s area available with picnic tables and games. Although they have a wide variety of food and wonderful meals, we wanted to provide our suggestion. The blackened snapper with red pepper sauce and 3-cheese grits is a MUST for any seafood loved. Or, if you are in the mood for some fried food, the Captain JR.’s Platter is calling your name full of local shrimp, oysters and fish. These two dishes are for any and all seafood lovers! For those that aren’t looking for seafood but more of a low-key spot, Local Pie would be our suggestion. The wood fired pizzas are nothing short of delicious and their unique menu will have everyone happy. Located right off of New Orleans Rd., enjoy indoor or outdoor seating and live entertainment. They believe pizza is universal, whether it be post-beach, after some excursions or on a busy night, they will have something ready for you! If a date night is what you need, then The Lucky Rooster Kitchen and Bar is where you need to go. Clayton Rollinson, born and raised on Hilton Head, opened this up-scale dining restaurant a couple of years ago and is also the head chef. His meals are nothing short of delectable and we think some of the best courses you will eat. The dim light, intimate atmosphere is perfect for that night out by yourselves, or a get together with friends. We promise that you won’t regret it! His menu is ever changing, and full of seafood, red meats, vegetarian options and things you haven’t ever seen! It is definitely a local favorite, and will soon become yours! No matter what type of restaurant you are looking for, Hilton Head has it. Don’t be afraid to branch out and try new things – especially while in the Lowcountry!
