Hilton Head Island is once again celebrating new life above the maritime forest and marsh, as two bald eagle eaglets have officially hatched! Long-time resident bald eagles, Gracie and George, once again welcomed another pair of eaglets <\/strong>as the first egg, E3, hatched on Monday, December 29th, 2025, followed closely by E4 on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025. Now, locals and wildlife lovers around the world can follow along as the proud parents care for their eaglets throughout their nesting season. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This marks yet another exciting chapter for Gracie and George, who are now in their 14th season of nesting on the island. Last year’s nesting season ended in success as both eaglets fledged–leaving the nest on their own. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ability to watch moments like these unfold is all thanks to the Hilton Head Island Land Trust’s ongoing commitment to conservation and education.<\/strong> Nearly two years ago, two Great Horned Owls named, Bayley and Joshua, <\/strong>along with their newly hatched owlets, were the talk of the island.<\/a> Viewers could follow along by Raptor Cam<\/strong> on the pair’s nesting journey from when the very first egg was laid, to when the owlets hatched in early February of 2024, and eventually to their successful fledging. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Land Trust added a second camera, the Eagle Cam<\/strong>, to monitor Gracie and George’s 13th nesting season in an undisclosed location on Hilton Head Island. In the Eagle Cam’s second year, you can now follow the two’s journey daily as they raise their eaglets for another unforgettable season of island wildlife unfolding before our eyes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
