With the weather forecast looking good and the stresses of work and a busy home life in the rearview mirror, the family imagines their days making memories that will be cherished from year to year. Last year\u2019s trip didn\u2019t include the grandparents and the youngest had not yet made her arrival. The twins are now teenagers and their siblings, a toddler and a baby will be a handful. Suddenly the thought of pleasing everyone seemed like an impossible task. Could Mom and Dad sneak away some alone time? Would there be fun teen activities for the oldest two? How could the little ones find safe and age appropriate activities? Would there be family friendly activities that the entire group could enjoy together? Upon arrival, it is easy to see just how family-friendly this 12 mile wide barrier island is. There is a notable\u00a0appeal that crosses generations. It is no surprise it is a favored vacation spot for destination weddings, avid golfers, young families and retirees. It seems everyone wants a slice of the summer fun that Hilton Head serves up. The infrastructure on Hilton Head was designed specifically to respect the nature preserves and its natural beauty. There are no high rises and roadside signage is kept to a minimum. The absence of commercialism has preserved a timeless feeling for locals and visitors to enjoy. Behind the veil of gorgeous sweeping oaks, plantations and lagoons are some hidden hot spots and local happenings that the whole family can dive into.
