Every year, Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler asks its readers and fellow travelers to vote for their top favorite, well,\u00a0everything and anything<\/em>\u00a0that has to do with travel.<\/strong>\u00a0Hotels, resorts, spas, airlines and airports, the best luggage, trains, cruise lines, cities, and even countries\u2013it\u2019ll take you a while to go through all of the results.<\/a>\u00a0But what makes these results so great, is that every vote casted\u2013all 757,109 of them\u2013came from travelers just like you<\/strong>\u00a0who have actually flown with\u00a0that<\/em>\u00a0airline, stayed at\u00a0that\u00a0<\/em>resort, and experienced the train ride, spa treatment, and perfectly non-squeaking wheels of\u00a0that<\/em>\u00a0suitcase.\u00a0So when so many people can come to an agreement on the Best Island in the United States<\/a>, it means a lot!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year was the\u00a038th annual Readers\u2019 Choice Awards survey<\/strong>, and as far as the island portion goes, the rankings saw both new destinations and returning favorites.\u00a0Hilton Head Island clinched the top spot, keeping its title for nine years in a row.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

South Carolina boasts not only two islands on the list, but the top two, with Kiawah Island coming in at second place.\u00a0<\/strong>Georgia was also represented with nearby, Tybee Island<\/strong> coming in at number 13. This ranking includes fifteen total islands, including some of the most-visited Hawaiian Islands, and representation throughout the country such as Mackinac Island, MI, South Padre Island, TX, Santa Catalina Island, CA,<\/strong> and many more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
