Cancun, Mexico<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Catch Cancun at its driest and arguably its best weather when you book your trip during the winter season. The average highs from December to February stay in the low 80s,<\/strong> allowing for perfect beach days full of laying out in the sun and splashing around in the water. Speaking of water, it<\/strong><\/span> will stick to 80 degrees Fahrenheit<\/strong>, a small drop from its summertime temperature of 83 degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While humidity levels will be down, the number of visitors to the area won\u2019t be. Galveston, TX<\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Head to this island during the winter season, and it might be your new favorite tradition! This popular cruise port also makes for a great getaway when you\u2019re sick and tired of freezing temperatures and snow.<\/strong> The island has 32 miles of beaches that offer gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico, and while winter in this region isn\u2019t hot, you\u2019ll be able to enjoy milder temperatures that make outdoor activities enjoyable. Galveston is also known for its holiday magic, which starts as early as November!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winter in Galveston means lower lodging rates and fewer<\/strong> crowds. You\u2019ll be able to do everything on your to-do list and more with fewer wait times for activities and restaurants. In addition to peaceful walks along the beach, Galveston\u2019s major attractions are open year-round,<\/strong> so you\u2019ll have lots to do! The island also has one of the largest collections of Victorian architecture in the United States,<\/strong> as well as a historic downtown that you\u2019ll want to explore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ok, ok, we know that the whole state of Florida can\u2019t be a destination, but if we listed all of the places in Florida that we wanted to, most of this list would fill up super-fast. So, think of these three destinations as a bonus!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you\u2019re traveling with family, think about taking a trip to Orlando, Florida.<\/a><\/strong> Its central location will allow you to have some fun in the sun and let you have the option of taking day trips to other cities and beaches.<\/strong> Aside from barely needing a jacket, travelers love Orlando in the wintertime because various theme parks celebrate the holidays with fun decorations and special events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

St. Augustine, Florida,<\/a> a city along Florida\u2019s Historic Coast, <\/strong>is also a great choice for not only families, but all types of travelers.<\/strong> St. Augustine\u2019s Nights of Lights<\/strong> have been recognized by National Geographic as one of the best holiday light displays in the world.
