Start your July 4th on the beach this year by running or walking the USA 5K. Participants will receive a race t-shirt and finisher medal. The USA 5K’s charity partner is the Sea Turtle Patrol. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Labor Day Weekend <\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We’re still working hard to collect events for the unofficial end of summer. The good news? The island still feels like summer long after Labor Day Weekend comes and goes. So far, we can report that all of the normally scheduled events, markets, live music, and more are still set to continue well past the end of August.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

HarbourFest at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina <\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Most days of the week from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day Weekend (check calendar here)<\/a><\/em>

Enjoy live entertainment from musician, Shannon Tanner and a Jimmy Buffet tribute band on select nights, or have a blast with island-favorite, Cappy the Clown. This family-friendly summertime tradition <\/strong>includes arts and crafts along with other kids’ activities, and even firework displays<\/strong> on select Tuesday Nights! Dinner is covered, as there are multiple delicious restaurants lining the harbour to chose from, as well as many shops to peruse before the live music gets started. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join the fun in the park each Tue with the highlight of the night, fireworks which start around 9pm. Inflatable bounce houses and face painting for a minimal fee. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the fireworks. Come early and enjoy dinner or snacks at any of our SCTC restaurants!

Movie Nights in the Park <\/em><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Thursday Nights from June 11th-August 13th
7:30pm | Shelter Cove Community Park <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friends and families of all ages are welcome to grab their beach chairs or spread out blankets and beach towels at Shelter Cove Community Park to enjoy a movie under the stars. This free event is a popular summertime activity hosted by Shelter Cove Towne Centre <\/strong>and is a great way to take advantage of the warm summer nights on our beautiful island. Pack a picnic or grab some food from the many restaurants surrounding Shelter Cove Community Park. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
