This musical comedy created by Grammy Award-winning songwriter, Wayne Kirkpatrick, and screenwriters, Karey Kirkpatrick and John O’Farrell, is a hilarious mix of 16th-century Shakespeare and 21st-century Broadway. Follow along as two brothers try to write the world’s first musical to claim the spotlight from, “The Bard,” after a soothsayer shares that the future of the theatre features song and dance.
Directed by Whitaker Gannon, Something Rotten, is definitely a crowd-pleaser that you won’t want to miss out on. This musical is recommended for viewers at least 13 years old. Parental discretion is advised, as there is mild language and innuendo throughout the performance.

This musical tells the tale of aspiring chorus girl, Peggy Sawyer, who moves to the big city to pursue her dream of starring in a Broadway show. And wouldn’t you know it? The leading lady breaks her ankle just before opening night!
You’ll be dazzled by tap numbers, and amazing costumes, and will listen to non-stop Broadway hits like, “Dames,” “We’re In The Mooney,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” and more!

This award-winning regional arts center is an independent, non-profit theater that not only brings quality performances to the region but organizes cultural festivals and opportunities for educational outreach to the community.
